Preface

It is our great pleasure to offer the third edition of the book Economic- II for the new course of Economics of Grade XII under CDC Nepal. This edition is the result of the constant encouragement and suggestions of our esteemed reader, students, teachers and our Endeavour in improving the book. In this edition, we have tried to express the theoretical concepts of economics as simple as possible by using relevant tables, diagrams and graphs.

In this new edition, we have made some essential changes to upgrade the subject matter as well as to make it more understandable. The emphasis is given to keep the language lucid and clear cut presentation of the subject matters.

In microeconomics we have included adequate examples, tables and graphs to explain the different theories and laws related to microeconomics. Similarly in macroeconomics different concepts, theories and laws are explained with their origin and concepts, theories and laws are explained with their origin and assumptions by taking the examples from the Nepalese context. At the end of each chapter, exercise is given for self practice. It also includes the past questions of HSEB Board Examinations.

Although, due efforts have been made to overcome the errors existed in the first edition, we request all the faculty members, students and general readers to mail queries, comments and suggestion to improve the book further. Valuable suggestions and comments are always welcome.
